The house rules

Short version: be an adult, be kind, ask before you get personal, and let people go when they want to go.

Welcome here

  • Curiosity, good questions and good jokes
  • Honest, friendly small talk
  • Saying no, and moving on, at any time
  • Reporting things that aren’t okay

Not okay

  • Anyone under 18
  • Sexual content without clear consent
  • Harassment, hate and threats
  • Recording, scams and spam

1. Adults only (18+)

Everyone here must be at least 18. If you’re younger, please leave now. If you meet someone who seems to be under 18, end the chat and report them — even if you’re not sure.

Any sexual content involving minors is absolutely forbidden. It results in an immediate permanent ban and may be passed to the authorities where the law requires.

3. No harassment, hate or threats

Don’t insult, bully, stalk or intimidate people. No hate speech or slurs aimed at anyone’s race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation. No threats of violence, and no encouraging anyone to hurt themselves.

4. Don’t record or expose people

Don’t record, screenshot or stream other people’s chats, voices or faces, and never share them anywhere. Don’t try to work out who someone is, and don’t post anyone else’s personal information. What happens in a chat stays between the two of you.

5. No spam, scams or selling

No advertising, link-dropping, bots, mass messaging, phishing, requests for money, or pushing people to other sites or apps. Don’t impersonate other people, staff or organisations.

6. Respect the skip

People press Next for all sorts of reasons, most of which have nothing to do with you. Don’t try to find someone again after they’ve left or blocked you, and don’t use new sessions or devices to get around a block or a ban.

7. Stay within the law

Don’t use this site to break the law, share illegal content, or plan harm to anyone.

How we enforce these rules

Moderators review reports and decide what to do based on what was reported and the evidence the reporter attached. Depending on how serious it is, that can be:

  • A warning for a first, minor slip.
  • A temporary ban, from a few hours to several weeks.
  • A permanent ban for serious or repeated harm — always for anything involving minors.

Bans can apply to your session, your account and the network you connect from, so starting fresh usually won’t get around them. Messages may also be blocked automatically if they match terms the operator has flagged.

If you think a decision was wrong, contact the operator using the details in the privacy notice.
